Garden Startin'

The almanac says we've got another 6-8 weeks until last frost, but I just can't help myself - I started some seeds. And now I have some teensy-tiny tomato plants!

There are three kinds this year: Druzba (standard sandwich/salad tomato), Matt's Wild Cherry, and San Marzano, all purchased from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. The cherries took a while to germinate but they're starting to catch up. I did learn a lesson about checking my worksheet before transplanting, though...I very carefully transplanted four Druzbas into larger pots, only to then discover that I'd mis-remembered, and what I had was three Druzba's and a San Marzano. Except I don't know which is which. Oops. Oh well. I have more of both growing, as I always grow extras. Next time I will be more careful!
